Senior Product Manager
Location: Redwood City, CA
Position Title: Senior Product Manager
Duration: Full Time
The Product Manager will own product requirements and execution of consumer facing features. The role will also include the management and execution of new and on-going projects. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing, and will be a key hire for the product and marketing team.
Responsibilities:
- Define the right feature set and product road map to drive user engagement
- Define product requirements for key features, working with our in-house web designers and UX team
- Work with engineering, business development and content teams to execute the product road map
- Define new products
- Assess market size and landscape for new products
- Perform new product cost benefit analysis and calculate ROI
- Define and drive the new product introduction process
- Define and enforce standards in product definition and NPI process
- Define and enforce project management standards and process
- Prioritize development investments across all departments
- Facilitate cross-department projects
- Research competition
Skills:
- Able to systematically assess market value of new product ideas
- Expert-level in defining and using web analytics
- Experience with both SEM and SEO best practices
- Consensus building skills
- Ability to engage and interact with technical teams
- Ability to engage and interact with editors, marketers and management teams
- Domain knowledge of online publishing business
- High comfort level to web technology
- Well versed in A/B testing and experimental design
- Can write concise product requirements and specifications
- Ability to work autonomously
Experience:
Five or more years of experience working as a Product Manager in the following areas:
- For-profit web companies
- Web-based content sites
- Experience and comfort using various social networking platforms and tools
- Managing both large and small scale projects
